21, 21, 21...I can't believe I am 21 years old. This morning my daddy woke me up to go to breakfast at Cracker Barrel ( going out to breakfast is my favorite tradition that my daddy and I never miss). Then, we came home and my mama gave me a present....
my daddy called them princess shoes ( b/c they are gold) & I would have to agree:) haha! Also my mama and I went to Chamblin's Uptown and absolutely got lost in the book store there. I had a wonderful green tea there too....all in all a beautiful day.
oh ya...i bought 4 books at Chamblins "Uncle Tom's Cabin", "The Scarlettt Pimpernel", "Easy Learning French Book -i fancy myself a linguist-, and "Oh the Places You'll Go." I <3 books...what a nerd!

Have you read any of these books?

A tradition to savor.

Today was the day I waited all year for....My Birthday Sunday. It's an important day in my family. An accidental tradition actually. The Sunday before you're birthday in my family my mama cooks your absolute favorite meal ( mine is bbq chicken and potato salad...the rest of the food is optional, but those two are a must) The whole family is required to come over and eat dinner with me and I don't have to wash a dish....or do anything but eat cake( a red cake, of course)

I got chased by a dog today....ok, ok it wasn't really that bad! Seriously, though I was running down my road (half asleep mind you) and a dog started running towards me, not okay! So I scared it off(actually i screamed first, which if you know me that doesn't happen often), then I turned the corner to run down another street and it started chasing me AGAIN! So I started chasing it, lucky for me she wasn't very brave and went right home. haha! #mylifeisridiculous.

How does one survive college without coffee... i just don't understand college students who don't like coffee. I'm seriously getting stressed thinking about this semester; it's gonna be crazy. 18 hours of classes, 30+ hours of work, teacher aiding....oh boy! its totally going to be worth it at the end of the semester.

Gardening and I have a love-hate relationship. I love planting and seeing them grow. I love to pick the vegetables and cook them and eating them is my absolute favorite. The watering and weeding though...i hate!! with a passion. I enjoy the sun and the dirt and water, but those pesky little weeds never seem to go away. We planted a little of our garden today, and i am, yet again enthralled with the idea that this little plant will grow up one day and provide food for my family.

-soulfriend
A very close friend (often lifelong) that you were "meant to be" friends with. The friend equivalent of a soulmate.

I hope you have one, or two; or maybe too many to count.

Tea Time Tuesday...=)

Ok, the tea time Tuesday thing was kinda of a joke....I just wish I could think of a sassy little name to rhyme with one of the days of the week that would inspire me to write a little in my blog. The only reason I have been thinking about tea lately is because I am absolutely enamored with tea for some reason. Herbal tea iced with honey is my absolute favorite, especially "Passion" tea from Tazo OOOLALALA it's DELICIOUS!

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
